There’s plenty of time to sort this out before 2011. No need for our telly to get messed up by anyone!
I got Freeview for the living room when it first came out, and am thinking of getting BT Vision now, and moving my old Freeview box either into the kitchen or the bedroom.

BT Vision seems a bit expensive from what I’ve seen. You pay for the box, which I would expect, but then you pay for TV and Movies on demand! I really can’t see this service taking off anytime soon - nobody will pay ???????£1.99 to watch an episode of their favourite show, when they could watch it for free on Freeview - or subscribe to Sky and get all the television they need for 15 quid a month!
Just my 2 cents…

The movies and sport on demand are the real bonuses of BT Vision, if they can get the right deals in place it might save a trip to the local video shop on a rainy Saturday night (which can only be a good thing).
I don’t think it will penetrate the hardcore TV watchers who will go for the content of Sky or Virgin every time though.

BT Vision viewers probably won’t pay ???????£1.99 to watch an episode of a TV show.
The main appeal of BTV is that is it essentially Freeview plus the odd pay per view movie or whatever.
I agree, I don’t think that it will ever command a Sky-sized market share, but it’s not really meant to be a replacement for Sky or a main competitor like Virgin would have been, had the whole channel farce not happened…
