A new trailer for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 has arrived.

The upcoming season of the show is set to hit US streaming service Hulu on April 25th and will come to Channel 4 in the UK at a later date.

The Handmaid’s Tale is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, which imagines an America taken over by religious cultists.

The new trailer offers a glimpse at what we can expect from season 2, with Offred dealing with her pregnancy whilst also fighting against the oppressive regime of Gilead.

This season is set to expand beyond the novel the first was based on, offering an insight into what happens to Offred after she gets into the van and drives away.

The Handmaid’s Tale has been critically acclaimed, winning numerous awards for its writing and Elizabeth Moss’ central performance.

Co-stars Joseph Fiennes, Alexis Bledel, Ann Down and Madeline Brewer are also set to return with season 2.

The return of The Handmaid’s Tale is part of a big month of TV during April, with season 2 of Westworld also due to air on HBO.

UK viewers will be able to catch season 2 of The Handmaid’s Tale when it airs on Channel 4, though no release date has been set as of yet.
