Find out more about BT Vision Channels
In this article:
What channels are on BT Vision?
BT Vision gives you the Freeview channels available in your area, as long as you have a working rooftop aerial so you can receive the signal, and a Vision+ box so it can be decoded and watched on your TV. The channel list can vary, but most of the core and mainstream channels are the same, such as the major free-to-air stations like BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Thanks to the technology of digital TV, more channels can be broadcast, so there is a huge range of sister stations, which are like spin-offs of the major channels. These include BBC Three, BBC Four, ITV2, ITV3, E4 and Film4.
BT Vision Freeview Channels
The Freeview channels available to you will depend on your location, although the majority of channels are the same. There is nothing you can do about changing the Freeview channels available to you, short of moving house! The Freeview channels that come with BT Vision will be the same ones you would get with a Freeview box, but BT Vision adds a library of on demand and catch-up content to your service.
BT Vision HD Channels
There are currently no HD channels available with BT Vision, although you can watch HD content on demand. The Freeview HD channels may become available in the future, but at present the standard definition broadcasts are available, along with a library of catch-up and on demand TV.

The movies must be downloaded, but this won’t take long, and you can rent and download HD movies to watch in glorious high definition.

BT Vision Catch-Up TV
BT Vision and BBC iPlayer
BT Vision customers can access BBC’s popular iPlayer through their TVs. The user-friendly, on demand service started online, but a TV version is now available with almost all the same BBC programmes from the web version, ready to view at the touch of a button through BT Vision. BBC iPlayer has a library of programmes from the last week, including sport, comedy, drama, documentaries, music and more.
Vision Replay
BT Vision’s catch-up service is called Replay, and you can access it from your Vision+ box. It includes recent episodes and shows on free-to-air channels, so you don’t have to worry about missing some of the best TV from the last week on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
