The romantic drama will hit Amazon this year.

The first trailer for Amazon Studios film Life Itself has emerged.

The film, which has been produced for the Amazon Prime Video platform, stars Oscar Isaac (who’s in basically every film these days) and Olivia Wilde, is a romance that spans both decades and continents and has been described as a “multigenerational love story”.

The trailer offers snippets of the characters’ early relationship as well as darker moments involving a fight and a child.

The film has been written and directed by This Is Us director Dan Fogelman, which has been critically acclaimed.

Amazon’s previous original film, The Big Sick, was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and was one of the highest-grossing independent films of 2017.

Amazon Studios works in a similar way to Netflix by combining with film studios to make and distribute its films.

These films hit cinemas before being shown on Amazon Prime Video exclusively.

Alongside Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde, Life Itself also features Mandy Parking, Annette Benning and Antonio Banderas.

Life Itself will hit cinemas in Autumn and will appear on Amazon Prime Video soon after. You can watch The Big Sick right now.
