A trailer for the upcoming Jack Ryan series will premier at the New York Comic-Con.
A teaser for the Amazon Prime Original series was posted on YouTube, which shows (presumably tracked) money mysteriously changing hands in what’s undoubtedly a good reason for some Tom Clancy-esque espionage action to occur.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is the latest incarnation of the character, which has spanned a large amount of novels and movies, with actors such as Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, Alec Baldwin and Chris Pine all playing the CIA operative at some point.
In this new series, the character will be portrayed by John Krasinski, who’s most famous for his turn as Jim in the hugely popular US version of The Office.
Krasinski also starred in the more genre-appropriate 13 Hours, which told a fictionalised version of the assault on the US Consulate in Benghazi.
The first season of Jack Ryan is scheduled to run for 10 episodes, with a number of talents signed on to direct, including The Americans’ Daniel Sackheim, Passengers’ Morten Tyldum and Fringe producer Graham Roland.
Jack Ryan is Amazon’s latest Prime Original series, which has recently hosted shows such as The Tick and The Last Tycoon.
As well as Jack Ryan, anthology series Lore is another show that’s been eagerly anticipated. This anthology series is based on the podcast of the same name that tells terrifying true stories and is due to hit Amazon on October 13th.
