Anthony Joshua to return to Sky Box Office in October

The heavyweight star will return to fight next month in Wales.

Anthony Joshua is set to return on Sky Box Office in a fight against Kubrat Pulev on October 28th.

Joshua will defend his world heavyweight titles in his first fight since his victory over Vladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium earlier this year.

Hard-hitting Bulgarian boxer Pulev will challenge for the title at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Pulev has only lost once in his professional career - against Klitschko - making him the ideal opponent for Joshua.

AJ will be going for his 20th professional win, with his previous 19 victories all coming in the form of knockouts. The night will also see boxing come to the Principality Stadium for the first time since 2007, when local hero Joe Calzaghe beat Mikkel Kessler.

Head of Boxing at Sky Sports, Adam Smith, said that the event would be a great continuation of the star power of Joshua.

“Anthony Joshua is now one of sport’s true superstars and the stage is set for a cracking night of boxing. Is this now the AJ era? Many believe so after that dramatic victory over Klitschko but Pulev is big, strong and shouldn’t be underestimated.”

This will be the 3rd major bout that Sky Box Office has showcased this year, with AJ v Klitschko and Mayweather v McGregor being massive fights that enjoyed a huge amount of publicity.

Viewers will be able to watch via Sky Box Office using their TV box or online.
