Despite the fact that the show has only just returned for its second season, producers have confirmed that it will be back for a third season in 2017.
The series, which airs on US network Starz, sees Bruce Campbell return to the role of Ash, the chainsaw-wielding demon-hunter from the Evil Dead movies.
Set 30 years after the events of the films, Ash vs Evil Dead follows the titular Ash as he unwittingly releases the evil from the the Book of the Dead once more and must fight to destroy it.
The original director of the Evil Dead films, Sam Raimi, has been integral in bringing the show to life, with Lucy Lawless of Xena fame also starring in the show.
Deadline initially reported that the show was due to continue beyond its current run, with a panel of the cast at the New York Comic Con confirming it.
With the success of Ash vs Evil Dead, there have been rumours that a brand new movie is in the works.
Evil Dead was brought back to cinemas in 2013 with a reboot, but Campbell was not featured apart from a brief cameo.
One of the show’s producers, Robert Tapert, said that a future movie was something that they were interested in.
“Is there a movie out there that we are thinking about that would continue on that would merge everything? There certainly are those thoughts starting to percolate."
Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 is currently airing on Starz.
