BT Sport is set to broadcast a huge 9 Premier League matches this December, BT has announced.
The sports network, which consists of 4 different channels including BT Sport 1, 2, 3 and ESPN, features 42 Premier League games every season, with 9 of these ties being shown in December alone.
BT Sport shares the rights to the Premiere League with Sky Sports, with the majority of matches available to watch on Sky.
December, however, sees some big games heading exclusively to BT Sport, with the league heading ever closer to its midpoint.
BT Sport viewers will be able to watch hotly anticipated matches including Arsenal v Manchester United, Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield v Chelsea.
Premier League debutants Huddersfield have surprised already this season, with their positive and hard-working game style seeing them recently beat Man United.
Despite Crystal Palace’s recent first victory against current champions Chelsea, the side are still in desperate need of points - giving their home fixture against Manchester City on New Year’s Eve even more pressure.
This season is seeing Premiere League matches played on a wider variety of days, with its December fixtures featuring Tuesday and Wednesday night games.
As well as the Premier League, BT Sport viewers will also be able to catch all the action from the Champion’s League exclusively across the channels and digitally.
Head of BT Sport, Simon Green, said that this was one of the biggest winters for sport since the network began.
“December and the Christmas period is always a busy time for football fans. BT Sport is showing a vast amount of live sport, including the biggest event in the cricket calendar, the Ashes and the culmination of the group stages in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. As ever, BT Sport will be showcasing outstanding matches in the Premier League with games featuring the title and European competition contenders.”
