DC’s Titans headed to Netflix UK

UK viewers can avoid DC's new streaming service.

DC’s Titans series will be aired on Netflix in the UK.

The series will hit the streaming platform on January 11th, making it one of the first big shows of 2019.

Titans is based on the Teen Titans cartoon and follows a group of young superheroes, including Robin from Batman

Titans is planned to be released on DC’s new streaming service in the US, but will hit Netflix in the UK, suggesting that DC has no plans to roll it out here.

The first season fo Titans will be made up of 13 episodes, making it the same as Netflix’s Marvel output.

Netflix will be the only service to offer “original” content from both Marvel and DC, despite the cancellation of some of its big Marvel hitters.

Whilst Titans is a DC show, it won’t follow the same continuity as its Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow series.

DC is just one of the companies creating its own streaming service, with Disney planning to launch Disney+ next year.

CBS Interactive and DC both host shows via Netflix in the UK, so British streaming fans have managed to avoid subscribing to different content providers so far.
