A teaser for the 11th series of Doctor Who was shown during Sunday’s World Cup Final.
The teaser, shown at half-time, showed a glimpse at what fans can expect from the new series, which will see Jodie Whittaker take up the mantle of The Doctor.
Alongside her, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill will join the series as companions Graham, Ryan and Yasmin.
The teaser shows all the new companions as their lives are changed by The Doctor, followed by a shot of Whittaker appearing out of seemingly nowhere.
Fans have been vocal about expecting more from the teaser, though the BBC has said that more will be revealed soon.
This week sees the annual San Diego Comic-Con take place, where it’s likely we’ll see a full trailer make its debut.
Doctor Who series 11 still does not have a full release date, though it is expected at some point in October this year.
The show is undertaking a near full reboot, with a new actor playing the Doctor and a new showrunner helming the show.
Chris Chibnall has taken over from Stephen Moffat, who ran the show for 7 years. Chibnall is perhaps best known as the creator of hit detective series Broadchurch, which starred Jodie Whittaker.
You can catch up with series 1-9 of Doctor Who on Netflix right now.
