The full cast for the upcoming third season of Fargo has been announced by FX.
Whilst Ewan McGregor had already been confirmed to star in the season, FX has now confirmed who the rest of the cast will consist of.
Argo’s Scoot McNairy, Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Stuhlbarg and Deadpool’s karen Soni have all been confirmed for the show, alongside the upcoming Kong: Skull Island’s Thomas Mann.
Fred Melamed, from other Coen Brothers property A Serious Man, will also feature.
McGregor is due to play twin brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy, with characters such as right-hand man Sly Feltz, former convict Maurice LeFay and police chief Moe Dammick also forming part of the story.
Whilst actual plot details about the third season of Fargo are being kept completely secret for now, the show’s creators have hinted at the possibility of an appearance from a character from the previous seasons.
Fargo is a TV spin-off of the 1996 crime-thriller by the Coen Brothers, and has already received critical acclaim for its previous 2 seasons.
The series revolves around crimes in the sleepy but frozen setting of small-town Minnesota.
The show has been known for its casting of big names, with Billy Bob Thornton, Kirsten Dunst and Martin Freeman previously appearing.
Fargo season 3 is due to debut in 2017, with no official release date as of yet.
