Frasier reboot potentially in development

Revived salads and rebooted eggs could be on the cards for Frasier.

David Hyde Pierce and Kelsey Grammer as Niles and Frasier Crane.

A reboot of the beloved sitcom Frasier could be in the works, rumours claim.

Last week it was reported that TV company CBS was planning on bringing back the show with most of the original cast in tow, in a series that would take Frasier Crane to a new city.

Now, star Kelsey Grammer has commented on the rumours, saying that they were just rumours and that he wasn’t sure he’d be up for reprising the role.

"They are rumours right now. I have discussed the idea with some people and I'm not sure I want to do it. That's really where we're at."

Frasier was a spinoff of the show Cheers and features the titular character as he juggled his complex family life with his call-in radio show in Seattle.

The series was hugely popular and won an incredible 37 Emmy awards during its 11-year run.

Any revival of the show would be unable to feature John Mahoney, who played Frasier's father Martin and passed away earlier this year at 77.

Frasier is shamefully not available to stream anywhere in the UK, but you can watch the full series of other popular ‘90s sitcoms Friends and Seinfeld on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video right now.
