A new season of wrestling comedy series GLOW has been announced by Netflix.
The series stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron and follows a women’s wrestling federation in the 1980s as they attempt to create a show for TV.
Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Britt Baron, Kate Nash, Gayle Rankin, Kia Stevens and Jackie Tohn also star in the series, making it one of the most interesting casts in Netflix’s roster.
Season 2 of the show hit Netflix in June this year and has been a big hit for the streaming platform, proving to be one of its highest-rated programmes.
Now, Netflix has confirmed that season 3 will be developed, with the full cast returning.
The end of the season 2 saw the characters on their way to start a wrestling show in Las Vegas, so it’s very likely that season 3 will primarily be set there.
GLOW was created by Liz Flahive and Carley Mensch and is based on the real GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) which operated in the ‘80s.
Whilst there’s been no release date given for GLOW season 3, it’s possible that we may see it in late 2019.
