The Handmaid's Tale is back for more bleak prestige drama.

Season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale has received its first teaser.

Show last night during the Super Bowl, the teaser gave little away in terms of plot, but showed more of the converted America that the show depicts, with the Washington Monument turned into a cross.

The Handmaid’s Tale is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood and depicts an America that has been taken over by religious extremists that breed women like cattle.

The first season was a smash-hit critically, winning numerous awards. The second, which aired in 2018, was less well received but still popular.

The show goes beyond the ending the book, showing what happened to the main character afterwards.

The series is shown on Hulu in the US, with Channel 4 having the broadcasting rights here in the UK.

Alongside The Handmaid’s Tale, a new teaser for the upcoming reboot of The Twilight Zone (helmed by Jordan Peele), as well as a clip from Toy Story 4.
