HBO offers look at 2019’s biggest shows

2019 looks to be a big one for the US network.

HBO has released a trailer offering a first look at its biggest shows of 2019. 

In the trailer, the premium US cable company showed some clips from the most anticipated shows of the year, including the final season of Game of Thrones, True Detective season 3 and the Watchmen sequel series. 

Big Little Lies season 2 was also teased, with Meryl Streep’s character appearing to be a big focus of the new episodes. 

Game of Thrones season 8 will see the epic fantasy series wrap up before it starts its large amount of spin-offs next year. 

Watchmen is being developed by Damon Lindelof, of Leftovers and Lost fame, with the series acting as a semi-sequel to the events of the book. 

HBO is known for producing some of the biggest shows in all of TV, including The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Deadwood and The Wire

2019 looks to be another bumper year for the service, with many of its biggest names returning.

This includes the new Deadwood movie, which is set to wrap up the series after it was initially cancelled after 3 seasons.

Game of Thrones will continue to be a cash-cow for the service even after it finishes, with a number of spin-offs on the way, including The Long Night starring Naomi Watts. 

UK viewers will be able to catch all of these shows via Sky Atlantic or NOW TV Entertainment
