A full trailer for the final season of House of Cards has emerged.
The series will finish after 6 seasons on November 2nd - with star Kevin Spacey not appearing.
Instead, his co-star Robin Wright will take over the lead role as US President - something that isn’t much of a stretch considering she was made President at the end of the previous season.
The trailer gives us a bigger glimpse at what we might expect from season 6, with the usual Machiavellian scheming and difficult to follow US political jargon all present and correct.
Many fans were wondering how Spacey would be written out of the show, with the trailer revealing that he’s passed away.
Whilst it may seem difficult for the show to wrap up 5 seasons worth of storylines without its previous lead, the trailer suggests that Claire will have a tough time as President, with all the shady deals her husband made now seemingly void.
Whether the Underwoods finally get their comeuppance for the various corruption and murders they’re responsible for is another matter, with the show famously going out of its way to see them escape in various ridiculous ways.
This is one of the highlights of Netflix’s autumn lineup, which also includes Daredevil season 3 and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
You can catch up with all of House of Cards on Netflix now.
