The House of Cards is getting ready to fall.

Robin Wright as Claire Underwood in House of Cards.

The release date for the final season of House of Cards has been set by Netflix.

The series will finally end on November 2nd, meaning there are only a few months to wait to find out how the political thriller will end.

House of Cards is a Netflix Original and revolves around the Underwoods, a power-hungry couple who lie, cheat and murder their way to the highest office in the US.

The series has been praised for its unfolding plot and clever writing but came under crisis last year when accusations about its star Kevin Spacey came to light.

Despite this, Netflix opted to not cancel the show, instead changing the main character to Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood, who became President at the end of season 5.

Season 6 will be the final season of the show and is set to wrap up the number of storylines still ongoing.

Alongside the release date announcement, Netflix has also released a new poster, which mimics the previous seasons by having Claire taking Francis’ seat.

No matter what you think of House of Cards (and its varying quality), it’ll be interesting to see if Netflix can wrap up the series in a satisfying way without its original star.

Robin Wright has been equally good as Spacey in the show, so season 6 has potential to be decent.

You can watch the full 5 seasons of House of Cards on Netflix right now.
