Manhunt could become the latest of the biggest TV trend.

Paul Bettany as the Unabomber in Manhunt: Unabomber.

The creators of Netflix series Manhunt: Unabomber are in talks to create a new anthology series.

The series would be based on the Manhunt title, turning the franchise into an anthology series that focuses on a new crime each season.

This would be akin to the model used by American Horror Story and American Crime Story.

Charter Communications, the production company that created Manhunt: Unabomber, is in negotiations with Lionsgate Entertainment to produce the series, which will presumably air on Netflix in the UK.

The first season of this proposed series will allegedly focus on Eric Rudolph, the Olympic Park Bomber as well as Richard Jewell, who was falsely accused of the crime.

The first season of Manhunt: Unabomber was critically acclaimed, scoring another hit for UK streaming partner Netflix.

The series starred Sam Worthington and Paul Bettany and it’s fair to assume that any further series will include a star-studded cast.

You can watch the first season of Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix right now.
