The latest Marvel series will drop this autumn in the UK.

Marvel’s Inhumans is set to air on Sky 1 later this year, Sky has revealed.

The latest series from Marvel will debut in the UK exclusively on Sky 1, with viewers able to catch the show at some point in the autumn.

Inhumans tells the story of ‘The Royal Family’, which includes King of the Inhumans Black Bolt, who’s voice can destroy cities, and his wide Medusa, whose hair is magic.

The Family are taken down by a military coup and escape to present-day Hawaii where they must adapt to their strange surroundings and find a way back to their home world.

The series stars Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels), Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) and Serinda Swan (Ballers) alongside a wider cast of characters.

The show will slot in alongside Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter as part of Marvel’s TV series canon, which complements the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” of the movies.

Dayna Donaldson, General Manager of Disney UK, said that Inhumans had the production values of the Marvel movies.

"Marvel storytelling is on a cinematic scale - and Inhumans' production values certainly live up to this. The series has created buzz from right back at its inception, and we're excited to be working with Sky 1 to launch Marvel's Inhumans to its viewers, following its preview on IMAX, a world first in television."

Reviews for the first 2 episodes of Inhumans have been mixed at best, with many critics and fans lambasting the costume and set design despite the boasts of high production values.

Inhumans is part of Sky 1’s new line up of shows, which includes Jack Whitehall’s comedy-thriller Bounty Hunters, action-drama Strike Back and Sick Note, which stars Rupert Grint and Nick Frost.

You’ll be able to watch Inhumans on Sky 1 or as part of the NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
