Narcos season 3 will hit Netflix on September 1st, the streaming service has announced.
The streaming giant revealed the release date alongside a new teaser, which shows what the new run will revolve around.
The previous 2 seasons revolved around the real-life drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and the DEA agents who attempt to take him down.
Season 2 saw the DEA finally catch up with him, with partners Boyd Holbrook (Logan) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) finishing him in a shoot-out.
Pedro Pascal will return as Javier Pena in season 3, with the agent this time tasked with investigating the Cali Cartel - a gang who were also looking to take out Escobar but for competitive reasons.
Season 3 is set to continue the mix of solid acting and exciting crime intrigue that made the previous seasons so popular.
Last year, Netflix renewed the series for seasons 3 and 4, so it’s safe to assume that Narcos will also return in 2018.
Narcos is part of Netflix’s huge lineup for 2017, which has already seen House of Cards return and will add Stranger Things, Marvel’s Defenders, The Punisher and Bojack Horseman to its already expansive Original library.
G.L.O.W, an original series about a women's’ wrestling federation, has also seen critical acclaim, with the new season of House of Cards proving to be a disappointment for some.
You can catch up with the first 2 seasons of Narcos as well as all of Netflix's Original shows right now.
