Netflix has ordered more of the animated fantasy comedy Disenchantment.
The streaming service will feature more episodes of the show, which will take it up to 2021.
The first half of season 1 is available to watch now, with the second half being uploaded to the streaming platform in 2019. Season 2 will be split into 2 10-episode halves in a similar way.
Disenchantment is by Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons and Futurama.
The series revolves around Princess Bean and her friends Elfo and Luci the demon as they get into medieval/fantasy-inspired mishaps.
Groening said in a statement that he was happy to continue with the series on Netflix.
“We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix. Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”
Disenchantment stars Abbi Jacobson as the lead role and also included Eric Andre, Matt Berry, Nat Faxon and Futurama alumni John DiMaggio and Billy West.
The series is slightly more serialised than either The Simpsons or Futurama, meaning it’s taken a while for some fans to get used to it.
Despite that, the fact that it's getting another season suggests that it was highly rated on Netflix.
