Netflix is testing a new subscription tier in Europe, reports claim.
The streaming giant is testing a new tier - Ultra - which will allow subscribers to receive Ultra HD streaming on 4 devices simultaneously.
This new tier is set to replace the current Premium plan as the top tier, which allows customers to stream Ultra HD on two devices at once.
Netflix now has a large number of shows and films that can be streaming at Ultra HD on 4K televisions.
Most of these include the ever-expanding Netflix Original lineup, though there are some third-party shows that do stream in 4K, such as Mad Men and Friends
With the Ultra tier, Netflix will have 4 different levels of subscription, ranging from the standard single user tier all the way to multiple 4K devices.
Whilst this is initially testing in parts of Europe only, it will eventually be rolled out to the rest of the world.
Along with 4K TV’s Ultra tier will also allow the standard device list to access content, including smartphones, tablets, streaming sticks and laptops.
