A new promo for the upcoming fifth season of Prison Break has been released.
The trailer hints at what fans can expect in the fifth season, which will be returning to screens for the first time since 2009.
Prison Break season five sees brothers Lincoln and Michael team up once again, with Michael (Wentworth Miller) being the one who is this time incarcerated.
This challenges the events of the fourth season, where Michael was seemingly killed.
Prison Break is the latest of FOX’s shows to be rebooted, with last year’s X-Files revival being successful commercially, if not critically.
Action series 24 has also enjoyed a recent reboot in 24: Legacy, with the first episode airing last week.
Prison Break debuted in 2005 and was one of FOX’s most popular shows, with the series having a large fanbase.
The show originally revolved around a man plotting to break his brother out of prison after he is sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit.
The new series ups the ante by setting the action in the Middle-East in a bid to ape the globe-trotting adventures of James Bond and Jason Bourne.
The new season of Prison Break will air on FOX on April 24th. Whilst it’s not clear when or where it will air in the UK, Channel 5 owns the rights to FOX shows, indicating that’s where it will end up.
