Netflix series Ozark has been renewed for a third season.
Season 2 premiered at the end of August, receiving a large amount of critical acclaim.
Season 1 of the crime series garnered 4 Emmy Award nominations, so it was always likely that the show would run further.
Ozark was created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams and follows a money launderer for the mob as he takes his family to the Ozarks of Mississipi in order to break free.
The series stars Jason Bateman (of Arrested Development fame) alongside Laura Linney.
Season 2 saw the tension rack up with the introduction of the mob’s high-powered attorney making life harder for the Byrdes.
Netflix has, overall, had another huge year of Original content, with Ozark joining Lost In Space, The Haunting of Hill House and Bojack Horseman to make up some of the biggest hits of the year so far.
Q4 of 2018 is also set to bring with it some of Netflix’s biggest shows ever, including the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and the final season of House of Cards.
Ozark was first released in 2017, suggesting that we’ll see season 3 appearing around this time in 2019.
