Season 2 of Marvel’s Punisher series is set to begin filming this month.
The show, which is part of Netflix’s Marvel lineup, will begin filming its second season on February 26th, SpoilerTV reported.
Whilst there has been no news yet as to when we can expect the Punisher to return to Netflix, the report also claims that filming will end on July 21st.
This indicates a very quick turnaround for season 2, with the first season airing late 2017.
The Punisher will almost certainly be added to the 2019 lineup of Marvel shows, with 2018 bringing new seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil.
2019 will inevitably see the return of Iron Fist as well as potentially a new season of superhero team-up Defenders.
Season 1 of the Punisher saw Frank Castle finally come to terms with his past as a Marine, getting to the organisation that killed his family and creating a new villain (Jigsaw) in the process.
2018 is a big year for Marvel in general, with its TV offerings ramping up and Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant Man and the Wasp hitting cinemas.
Disney is currently in the process of creating its own streaming service, with many fans previously concerned that it would move its Marvel shows from Netflix to that. Disney, however, has confirmed that they would not be airing Marvel products on the service.
