Sky has announced a new package that combines Sky Box Sets and Netflix.
The Ultimate On Demand bundle will allow customers to access Sky Box Sets and Netflix using Sky Q.
The package essentially integrates Netflix into Sky Q and allows Sky TV customers to save money on the basic Netflix package.
Sky and Netflix shows will share the spotlight on Sky Q’s homepage, allowing users to browse both types of content at once.
Ultimate On Demand is £10 per month alongside a standard Sky Q subscription, with a 31-day rolling contract available.
Sky Q customers who already subscribe to Netflix will be able to sign into their accounts using Sky Q and enjoy the same integration.
Sky Box Sets offers a number of exclusive programmes, including Game of Thrones, Billions and Sharp Objects.
Netflix, meanwhile, also includes a large amount of exclusive content, including The Crown, Stranger Things and documentary series Making a Murderer.
CEO of Sky UK, Stephan van Rooyen, said that this was a step closer to achieving the goal of Sky being the ultimate TV package.
“We want Sky Q to be the number one destination for TV fans. Partnering with Netflix means we will have all the best TV in one great value pack, making it even easier for you to watch all of your favourite shows.”
Standard Sky Q subscribers will get the normal Netflix package, allowing two users to stream in HD. Sky Q Experience customers can get the Netflix Premium Plan, meaning four users can stream in Ultra HD.
