Sky Living is due to increase its line-up of quality US shows with the acquisition of legal thriller Conviction.
The series stars Hayley Atwell, who previously appeared in Marvel’s Agent Carter, and revolves around the daughter of a former President who is blackmailed into forming a Conviction Integrity Unit in New York.
Hayes Morrison (Atwell’s character) leads a team of lawyers, investigators and forensic scientists in order to find out whether the right person has been convicted of a crime.
The show has been created by ABC Studios and is being fronted by a number of familiar talents, including X-Men’s Shawn Ashmore and The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney.
Conviction is the latest acquisition from Sky Living, which has a number of US shows as part of its line-up.
Viewers can also watch Grey’s Anatomy, The Blacklist, Criminal Minds and Blindspot alongside Conviction this autumn, with new seasons all appearing this year.
Season 1 of Blindspot was Sky Living’s most successful show ever, with an average audience of 1.192 million.
Director of Sky Living, Adam MacDonald, said that he was excited to see quality US drama come to the channel.
“As the home of the best-loved US network dramas, Conviction is a perfect fit for Sky Living. With strong characters, engrossing storylines and suspense-filled moments, the show is sure to make it to the top of our customers’ ‘must watch’ list.”
Conviction will hit Sky Living on Wednesday November 2nd.
