What is Sky Go Extra?

So Go Extra is an additional service for the Sky Go app, allowing you to watch Sky TV content on-demand on more devices. Extra gives Sky customers more options when streaming TV away from their Sky Q Box and standard TV, allowing for more freedom to enjoy any TV you want on the go.

What's the difference between Sky Go and Sky Go Extra?

Sky Go Extra exists within the standard Sky Go app, with Sky customers able to upgrade to Extra for a standard fee per month. Sky Go Extra offers a number of perks that you won’t get with standard Sky Go. These include the ability to download content to watch offline and watch on 4 separate devices. You’ll also be able to watch Sky content via the Sky Go apps for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

How much is Sky Go Extra?

Sky Go Extra is £5 extra a month, which will be added to your monthly bill alongside your Sky TV package.

How do I get the Sky Go Extra app for Android?

Sky Go Extra is part of the Sky Go app, which you can download on Android devices by searching for it in the Google Play Store and hitting Download. From there, you’ll be able to log in via your Sky account and get watching all your subscribed-to Sky content. 

How do I get the Sky Go Extra app for iOS?

The iOS app for Sky Go is very similar to the Android app. Simply visit the App Store, search for the app and download it. You’ll be able to do this on both iPhones and iPads.

How many devices do I get on Sky Go Extra?

Sky Go Extra gives you double the devices you can watch one, raising the figure from 2 to 4. Users will still be able to watch on 2 devices at once, though 4 can be registered at any time. Extra subscribers will also be able to watch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, something that is locked off from standard customers.

Is there a Sky Go Extra free trial?

Sky Go Extra does not have a free trial, though if you have Sky Q Multiscreen you’ll qualify for it automatically without the extra cost.

How do I sign in to Sky Go Extra?

To sign into Sky Go Extra, simply use your Sky login details on the Sky Go app. If you’re subscribed to Sky Go Extra, the app will recognise this immediately.

Is there a Sky Go Extra contract?

Sky Go is a month-by-month service, meaning you can cancel it whenever you want and don’t have to be tied down into a contract, regardless of how long your Sky TV contract is.

How do I cancel Sky Go Extra?

To cancel Sky Go Extra, you’ll need to contact Sky directly by phoning them or using the live chat feature. If you get Sky Go Extra as part of your Multiscreen package, you won’t be able to cancel as it’s a part of your package as standard.
