The 5th series of Inside No. 9 is ready to film, its creators have claimed.
Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, the writers and stars of the show, confirmed that writing had finished on the 5th series, with scripts ready to be filmed.
Shearsmith tweeted an image of the completed scripts, with series 5 planned to air later this year.
In a recent interview, the writers and actors explained some of their process for creating Inside No. 9.
“We always like to be in the same room, which a lot of writing partners don’t. We live very close to each other so we have a little office and go to the same places for our lunch and we spitball a lot of ideas for a long time.
“There is a lot of talking before we begin, so we make sure where we are going and that there is no fat on anything before we start writing. That’s really helped us over the years. We really know what we want to get out of a story before we write it.”
Inside No. 9 is an anthology series, with each episode based around the goings-on in different locations marked No. 9.
The series is one of the BBC’s most popular, with the creators previously being involved in The League of Gentlemen and Psychoville.
You can catch the first 3 series of Inside No.9 on Netflix now.
