Amazon orders series from Bojack Horseman creator

A new animated comedy is coming to Amazon.

Amazon has ordered a new series from the creator of Netflix's Bojack Horseman.

The series, named Undone, will be also be animated and follows a woman called Alma who discovers she has a “new relationship with time” after she suffers a car accident.

Creator of Bojack Horseman Raphael Bob-Waksberg and writer/director Kate Purdy will be involved in creating the series alongside Tommy Pallotta, who was involved in half animated, half live-action film A Scanner Darkly.

Bojack Horseman has been a big success for Netflix, with the show running for 4 seasons so far, with a 5th on the way.

Despite the new deal with Amazon, Bob-Waksberg's relationship with Netflix is still apparently going strong, with the creator also overseeing a new animated series called Tuca and Bertie for the platform.

This means that he is one of the first to work with both streaming services, which are very much in competition with each other.

This is yet another series Amazon has commissioned already this year, with a Lord of the Rings series on the way as well as an adaptation of Iain M Banks' Culture sci-fi novels.

These presumably huge budget series are an obvious attempt to catch up with Netflix, which reportedly has over 100 million subscribers worldwide.

Undone is set to debut on Amazon Prime at some point in 2019. You can watch all of Bojack Horseman on Netflix right now.
