Amazon reveals release date for The Boys season 2

New episodes will hit the streaming service on 4th September.

Amazon has confirmed the release date for the upcoming second season of its darkly satirical superhero series The Boys

The first three episodes will become available to stream on September 4th 2020 with new episodes then following every Friday after.

This date was confirmed during the cast’s recent virtual reunion on Zoom which was hosted by comedian Patton Oswalt.

Based on Garth Ennis’s acclaimed graphic novel, The Boys follows the titular vigilante team as they attempt to take down ultra-popular Avengers-like superhero group The Seven.

Its ensemble casts features Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligot and Jessie T. Usher.

Set to join the cast for season 2 is You’re The Worst’s Aya Cash as a gender-swapped version of the neo-nazi villian Stormfront and Oswalt as Tek-Knight a billionare who built himself a mecha-suit to fight crime.

You can stream all episodes of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video now.
