American Horror Story renewed for 3 more seasons
This takes it all the way through to series 13.
FX has renewed Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story for three more series.
Its Networks and Productions chairman John Landgraf confirmed the news yesterday at this year’s Winter Television Critics Association (TCA).
“Ryan [Murphy] and Brad [Falchuk] are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series,” he said.
“We’re grateful to them, Dana Walden and our studio partners for committing to another three years.”
The decision comes after Murphy previously hinted in an interview with Variety that the show’s upcoming tenth season might be its last.
“The tenth is the last season that’s ordered but John and I said around Season 5, this is something that is so beloved that maybe it could keep on going.”
“We have been talking about should we end it? Or should we keep moving forward? But I hope we can move forward.”
American Horror Story season 10 will premiere here in the UK sometime in Autumn 2020 but its theme has yet to be announced. It’s also not currently clear whether stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will return.
You can stream the first eight seasons of American Horror Story on Netflix now.
