Apple TV+ confirms release date for The Morning Show season 2
The first episode will arrive on 17th September.
Apple TV+ has confirmed the release date for the second season of its original star-studded drama The Morning Show.
The first episode will be available to stream on the platform from 17th September 2021 with the other nine set to follow weekly every Friday.
Created by Jay Carson, the show stars Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and Steve Carell as the anchors and TV executives on a popular breakfast news program.
Season 2 will explore the fallout from leading anchors Alex Levy's (Anniston) and Bradley Jackson’s (Witherspoon) decision to expose the network’s attempts to cover up the sexual harassment allegations against disgraced co-worker Mitch Kressler (Carell) live on air.
“Season 2 finds the Morning Show team emerging from the wreckage of Alex and Bradley's actions, to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play," reads its official plot synopsis.
Set to join the cast for this upcoming second season is The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies, Greta Lee, Hasan Minhaj, Ruari O’ Connor and Holland Taylor.
This September release date comes a little later than originally planned after filming was delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
You can stream the entire first season of The Morning Show on Apple TV+ now.
