Apple TV+ gives first look at its upcoming original series for 2021

The Mosquito Coast, Physical, Lisey's Story, Schmigadoon along with a second season of Mythic Quest will arrive later this year.

Apple TV+ has released first look photos and teaser clips for its upcoming original series.

The debut trailer for its new dramatic thriller The Mosquito Coast sees radical inventor Allie Fox (Justin Theroux) forced to go on the run from the US government with his wife and children.

Adapted from the 1981 novel of the same name by his uncle Paul Theroux, it will premiere on 30th April with the subsequent five episodes following weekly.

The platform also delivered a trailer for the second season of its acclaimed comedy Mythic Quest starring It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis, Charlotte Nicado and Danny Pudi.

It follows the dysfunctional developers of the titular online video game as they attempt to ready another huge expansion after the success of last season’s Raven’s Banquet.

While there were no clips for Physical, Lisey’s Story and Schmigadoon, the streamer did offer images for each which you can take a look at below.

Physical is a ten episode series chronicling 1980s housewife Sheila's (Rose Byrne) transformation into a confident lifestyle guru through the creation of her aerobics business.

Lisey’s Story, adapted from the Stephen King novel of the same name, stars Julianne Moore as the titular widow who slowly begins to unravel the troubled inner life of her deceased husband Scott (Clive Owen).

In comedy Schmigadoon, couple Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) set off on a backpacking trip to try and repair their relationship.

They stumble across a town where the inhabitants act as though they're in a 1940s-style musical and can’t leave until they find true love.

You can subscribe to Apple TV+ now for £4.99 a month on a rolling contract.
