Black Mirror gets new trailer ahead of Netflix release
A trailer for Netflix’s Black Mirror series has emerged ahead of the October 21st release.
The new trailer offers a taste of what's to come in the new season, with 6 anthology episodes all telling a different, tech-based horror story.
Netflix has also given us a glimpse at the stellar cast it has managed to get together for the series, which includes Jessica Chastain, Game of Thrones' Jerome Flynn and House of Cards' Michael Kelly.
Black Mirror is an anthology show that tells grimly prophetic tales based around technology and the modern world, with the show being likened to a modern-day Twilight Zone.
The first 2 seasons aired on Channel 4, but streaming giant Netflix last year picked up the show for its platform.
The brainchild of writer and presenter Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror has featured a number of memorable moments, including the Prime Minister being forced into relations with a pig on live TV and Jon Hamm using augmented reality to be a dating coach.
Brooker said that he wrote the series with the intention of keeping the audience guessing.
“I think if you said to people, ‘Picture the first episode of the new series of Black Mirror', they would imagine someone frowning at a see-through phone in the future with drone strikes going off behind them.”
“Hopefully we're keeping viewers on their toes so they don't just think it's someone having their life ruined by a phone. Although that happens, too.”
Black Mirror season 3 will be available to watch from October 21st, with the previous 2 seasons available to stream right now.
