This news comes as production begins on its highly anticipated second season.

If these upcoming seasons follow the pattern of the first two, they will be based on the third and fourth novels in Julia Quinn’s bestselling romance series of the same name.
Each entry focuses on one of the eight Bridgerton siblings and their search for love with these following Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Colin (Luke Newton) respectively.
Released on Christmas Day 2020, Bridgerton has gone onto become Netflix’s biggest series ever having been watched by 82 million households within the first month of its release.
Season 2 is currently in production and it will shift its focus to the oldest sibling Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his love interest Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
It was recently announced that its breakout star Regé-Jean Page will not return as the dashing Duke of Hastings reportedly due to creative differences.
"From the first time I read Julia Quinn's delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience,” said its producer Shonda Rhimes.
"This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix."
