The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cancelled by Netflix
The last eight episodes will hit the platform in the next few months.
Netflix has confirmed that it has cancelled dark teen drama The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
The final eight episodes of the show, which was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, or Part 4 will arrive sometime later this year.
Starring Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, the series followed the titular teenage witch as she battles against various forces of evil including Lilith/Madam Satan (Michelle Gomez) and Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle).
Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Ross Lynch, Jaz Sinclair and Gavin Leatherwood round out the rest of the main cast.
It serves as an adaptation of the horror comic series of the same name by Aguirre-Sacasa rather than being a reboot of the campy 90s series which starred Melissa Joan Hart.
“Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honour from Day One,” said Aguirre-Sacasa who also served as showrunner.
“The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show."
You can stream the first three parts of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix now.
