Coming 2 America lands at Amazon Prime
The sequel arrives 32 years after the original.

Coming 2 America will forgo a cinema release to stream on Amazon Prime.
According to Deadline, the platform bought the film from its distributor Paramount Pictures in a deal worth around $125 million.
The comedy sequel, which is a follow up to John Landis’s cult 80s comedy, once again stars Eddie Murphy as Prince Akeem who returns to America upon discovering that he has a son named Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler).
Accepting the wish of his ailing father King Joffee (James Earl Jones), Akeem and his aide Semmi (Arsenio Hall) try to groom Lavelle to become the new crown prince of Zamunda.
Leslie Jones, Tracey Morgan, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, John Amos, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Kiki Layne also star.
Craig Brewer, who previously worked with Murphy on the award-winning Netflix original biopic Dolemite Is My Name, will direct.
The writers of the original film David Sheffield and Barry W. Blaustei are also joined by Kenya Barris, creator of critically-acclaimed US sitcom Black-ish.
The announcement comes as cinema chains around the world continue to struggle with attracting audiences as major blockbusters are delayed.
Cineworld is temporarily closing all of its 128 venues across the UK while fellow chain Vue will be opening 21 of its 87 sites for only four days a week.
You can stream Coming 2 America from 18th December on Amazon Prime.
