Daredevil returns to Netflix October 19
Matt Murdock is back, just in time for Halloween.
Daredevil season 3 will hit Netflix on October 19th, a new trailer has announced.
After last week’s teaser trailer, Netflix has now announced when the blind comic-book hero will return.
In a new trailer, we see a bloodied Matt Murdock with a voiceover about the nature of evil, alongside what is presumably Wilson Fisk getting dressed.
The release date is sooner than many expected, with the second season of Iron Fist only releasing earlier this month.
The last we saw from Daredevil, he was presumed dead after being crushed by a building at the end of Defenders.
Whilst plot details for this season have been kept secret, the fact that we saw Matt wake up in a convent at the end of Defenders suggests that we may see the Born Again storyline from the comics played out.
Daredevil is one of Netflix’s Marvel roster, which also includes Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher.
Season 3 is set to be the last Marvel show of 2018, with Marvel’s 2019 lineup still in question.
Also in question is the future of the Marvel series on Netflix, with Disney’s plans for a streaming service seemingly ramping up.
Disney is reportedly planning a number of shows based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which the Netflix shows are technically part of), so it’s yet to be seen how they’ll all fit together continuity-wise.
