Dexter to return for a new season
It will premiere in Autumn 2021.

Serial killer drama Dexter is to return for a new season, US network Showtime has confirmed.
This revival will consist of ten episodes and once again star Michael C Hall as the titular blood spatter analyst who moonlights as a serial killer dispatching criminals who’ve escaped justice.
It’s not yet clear what the plot will be or whether any of the show’s other characters like Joey Quinn (Desmond Harrington) or Angel (David Zayas) will return.
Production will begin later this year for a release date of sometime in Autumn 2021.
Dexter originally ran for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013. It’s earlier seasons received critical acclaim with Morgan and guest star John Lithgow each winning a Golden Globe for their role.
This hugely positive reception began to decline as the show progressed with the general feeling amongst fans being that its finale was a huge disappointment.
“We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series,” said Showtime's Gary Levine.
"I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C Hall have found it."
You can stream all eight seasons of Dexter on Amazon Prime now.
