Euphoria star teases possible bridge episode
This episode would give fans something to enjoy during the wait for season 2.
Euphoria star Zendaya has teased a possible bridge episode between its first and upcoming second season.
In an interview for US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she told guest host Ben Platt that the show’s producers are working on giving fans “something to live on until we are able to go into season two.”
“We’re trying to figure out how to eventually be able to create a season 2 that we’re all really proud of and get all the best out of it that we want, but also still being very safe.”
“So, we might end up doing a little bridge episode. I don’t really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment.”
It’s not yet clear what this episode would be about or which cast members would appear.
Production on Euphoria was shut down due to safety concerns over COVID-19 just a few days before it was due to start shooting its second season.
The acclaimed teen drama follows a group of troubled high-school students each dealing with issues around drug addiction, sexuality, friendship and love.
Led by Zendaya’s bi-polar Rue who’s struggling to stay sober, the ensemble cast also includes Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie and Barbie Ferreira.
Creator Sam Levinson will once again serve as showrunner on season 2 and is expected to do the majority of the writing and directing.
The entire first season of Euphoria is available to stream on NOW TV.
