Fear the Walking Dead renewed for a seventh season
The very first The Walking Dead spinoff is still going strong.
Fear the Walking Dead will return for a seventh season, US network AMC has confirmed.
The announcement came via their official Twitter account accompanied by a short teaser which prominently features the number 7.
It began airing in August 2015 as a spinoff to The Walking Dead following a different group of characters through the zombie apocalypse.
Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Maggie Grace, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Austin Amelio and Ruben Blades all star.
Fear the Walking Dead is currently on a break with the second half of season six set to air at a currently unspecified date in 2021.
This upcoming lot of episodes will see Smallville’s John Glover join the cast as well as the possible return of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) who seemingly died back in season 4.
"There's always a chance. There's always a chance," said co-showrunner Ian Goldberg to Comic Book.
"We can't say much else about who saved Morgan [in the season 5 finale], other than we saw the note. We saw that it was someone with an ulterior motive who said that Morgan still had things to do. It's someone that Morgan doesn't know. We know that from the note, also.”
You can stream the first five seasons of Fear the Walking Dead on Amazon Prime Video now.
