First-look photos released for Mindhunter season 2

Charles Manson, Son of Sam, Ed Kemper and BTK are all set to feature this series.

Netflix has released a series of first-look photos for the upcoming second season of its acclaimed crime-drama Mindhunter.

FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Trench (Holt McCallany) are pictured alongside criminal psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) in the various stages of a new investigation.

More interestingly, it gives fans a look at the serial killers who will appear this series.

The return of imprisoned murderer Ed Kemper (an Emmy nominated Cameron Britton) is confirmed and Son of Sam David Berkowitz is seen in the midst of a prison interview with Ford and Trench.

We’re treated to our first glimpse of Damon Herriman as infamous cult Charles Manson (who’s also set to play the infamous cult leader in Quentin Tarrantino’s highly-anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).

The elusive BTK killer Dennis Rader (Sonny Valicenti) who menacingly stalked the background of last season is back. He wasn’t apprehended until 2005, so it’s unlikely Ford and Trench will be on his trail now.

Executive producer David Fincher confirmed back in 2017 that this season will jump ahead two years and explore on the Atlanta Child Murders which took place between 1979-1981.

All ten episodes of Mindhunter season two will arrive on Netflix on Friday 16th August.

You can stream the entirety of the first series on Netflix now.
