First trailer for new Netflix film Extraction

The action-thriller will be available to stream from 24th April.

Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming original film Extraction.

Thor’s Chris Hemsworth plays battle-hardened mercenary Tyler Rake who is employed to rescue the son of an international drug lord from a rival gang in Bangladesh.

The clip promises plenty of slick, explosive action as Hemsworth cuts his way through plenty of faceless henchmen whilst coming to terms with his own personal demons.

David Harbour, who’s also set to appear in Marvel’s now delayed Black Widow, and Derek Luke are also set to star.

The film was originally titled Dhaka after the capital city of Bangladesh where it’s mostly set.

Extraction is the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave who’s previously worked as a stunt coordinator on films like Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and Captain America: Civil War.

The script was written by Joe Russo who, along with his brother Anthony Russo, directed the acclaimed superhero blockbusters Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

You can stream Extraction from 24th April on Netflix
