First trailer for new Ridley Scott series Raised by Wolves

This is the first time that Scott has directed anything for US TV.

Streaming service HBO Max has released the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi series Raised By Wolves

Like any good trailer, the nearly two minute clip doesn’t completely spoil the show it’s teasing instead leaving viewers with plenty to wonder about.

It contains pretty much everything you’d expect from a collaboration between the famed director and the broadcaster including stunning visuals, creepy humanoid robots and the promise of lots of action.

Raised by Wolves centers on two androids (Amanda Collins and Abubakar Salim) tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet,” HBO’s official plot description reads.

“As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.”

Vikings’s Travis Fimmel is also glimpsed in the trailer although it’s really not clear who his character is or what his motivations are.

Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Jordan Loughran, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah and Ivy Wong also star.

The series was created by Prisoners screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski and sees Scott serve as executive producer as well as directing the first two episodes.

All ten episodes of Raised by Wolves will be available to stream in the US from 3rd September but a UK release date has yet to be announced.
