From Dusk Till Dawn series rumoured to be cancelled
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, which is aired on Netflix in the UK, is rumoured to be cancelled.
The show, made by Mexican TV network El Rey, is a remake of the 1996 cult horror film From Dusk Till Dawn, starring George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino.
The story follows two criminal brothers as they discover a race of vampires whilst running from the law. The show expands upon the film and continues the storyline.
Despite running for 3 seasons so far, it is rumoured that the show could be soon cancelled thanks to news about its cast.
Lead actors D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz are speculated to have been released from their contracts, implying that the show will no longer continue when it finished its third season later on in November.
Whilst this is potentially bad news for the show, sources have claimed that El Rey would make a decision about the show next year and that it didn't want to commit to the actors without knowing whether it would renew.
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series was one of El Rey's premier shows when it launched in 2013, and has already outlived other launch show Matador.
The series was advertised as a “Netflix Original” in the UK, with viewers able to watch episodes after they were aired.
Despite the future not looking bright for the show, Deadline has reported that it could return as a miniseries rather than a full-fledged season.
