Frozen 2 to hit Disney+ two weeks early

Subscribers can stream the animated favourite from Friday 3rd July.

Frozen 2 will arrive on Disney+ two weeks earlier than was originally announced.

The smash-hit sequel, which is the second highest-grossing animated film of all time behind The Lion King remake, will be available to stream on the platform from Friday 3rd July.

Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, it follows Princess Elsa (Idina Menzel), her sister Anna (Kristen Bell) and friendly snowman Olaf (Josh Gad) as they embark on a journey to discover the source of the former’s magical power.

Jonathan Groff, Sterling K. Brown, Evan Rachel Wood, Alfred Molina and Jason Ritter round out the star-studded voice cast.

A six-part Disney+ original documentary series titled Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 is also set to premiere later this month on Friday 26th June.

Fans will be able to take a glimpse behind the scenes at the production of the film and enjoy interviews with its cast and crew.

The 3rd of July will also see the release of a live recording of the award-winning Broadway musical Hamilton on Disney+ which was intended for a cinematic release.
