FX drops new teaser trailer for Fargo season 4
This upcoming season is one of the countless projects that has had its release date delayed due to coronavirus.
FX has released a new teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated fourth season of Fargo.
While the 45-second clip doesn’t tell us anything new in terms of plot, it serves as a great reminder of the show’s winning mix of violence, crime and goofy humour.
The upcoming season stars comedian Chris Rock the head of a powerful crime family in 1950s Kansas who as part of an uneasy attempt at peace with the Italian mafia, sends his oldest son to live with his biggest rivals and vice versa.
Everything is soon thrown into chaos however when his Italian counterpart Ebal Violante (Franceso Acquaroli) dies on the operating table after going in for a routine operation.
“It’s a story of immigration and assimilation, and the things we do for money. And as always, a story of basically decent people who are probably in over their heads. You know, Fargo.” reads the official plot synopsis.
The ensemble cast also includes Jason Schwartzman as the son of an Italian crime boss Josto Fadda, Ben Whishaw as the crooked Rabbi Milligan, Jessie Buckley as nurse Oraetta Mayflower and Timothy Olyphant as gangster Dick Wickware.
Its original April premiere date has been pushed back indefinitely due to the coronavirus epidemic which caused production to come to a halt with two full episodes left to film.
FX have yet to confirm when filming will resume which means its impossible to predict a new release date.
You can stream all three seasons of Fargo on Netflix now.
