Game of Thrones and Deadwood previewed in trailer

HBO's biggest shows were previewed during the Oscars.

A new HBO trailer has offered a glimpse at some of its biggest upcoming shows.

The teaser, which was aired during the Oscars on Sunday night, showed small clips from the new season of Game of Thrones alongside the Deadwood film.

Game of Thrones fans are highly anticipating a full trailer, with only small peaks given for what is planned to be the final season.

The Deadwood movie will resurrect the cancelled but beloved series which follows the titular town during the expansion of the US.

The film is set 10 years after the final season under the backdrop of South Dakota becoming a state.

Alongside Deadwood and Game of Thrones, fans also got a glimpse at season 2 of Big Little Lies, which features Meryl Streep as well as the returning cast of Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley.

Streep will play the mother of Perry, the monstrous antagonist of season 1 who was revealed to be killed in the final episode.

Damon Lindelof’s Watchman was also briefly shown, with Jeremy Irons’ Ozymandias blowing out a candle.

Rather than a straight adaptation of the book, Watchman will be set in the same universe but will use that as a launchpad for an original story.

You’ll be able to watch all these HBO shows exclusively via Sky Atlantic and NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
