Game of Thrones gets teaser and air date

It all ends in April with Game of Thrones season 8.

The first real teaser for Game of Thrones season 8 has arrived.

The trailer, titled Crypts of Winterfell shows the remaining Stark children walking the tomb underneath Winterfell, with ice (the White Walkers) approaching.

Whether this is an actual scene from the show or just a teaser remains to be seen, though it has an air of something that was specially filmed.

Alongside the new trailer, HBO has also announced the release date for season 8, which will air in the US on April 14th.

Due to Sky’s deal with HBO, this means that the season will debut in the UK on Monday, April 15th.

UK viewers will be able to catch the new episodes live on Sky Atlantic or on-demand via NOW TV Entertainment

Game of Thrones is one of a number of big HBO shows that will appear on Sky Atlantic, including True Detective season 3 and the upcoming Deadwood TV movie.

Season 8 of the fantasy series is set to feature only 6 episodes, though they all will be longer than the standard 60 minutes.

Director David Nutter has said that the final episode features the biggest battle ever seen in the show, suggesting that there will plenty of violent action that the series is known for.

You can catch up with the 7th season of Game of Thrones on NOW TV Entertainment now.
